The Jealous Curator : ART FOR YOUR EAR

ART FOR YOUR EAR brings you stories from some of my favorite contemporary artists. When I studied Art History, the best part was, well, the gossip. I loved finding out why artists did certain things, what was going on in their personal lives, and behind-the-scenes details about other artists they knew and worked with. This podcast is exactly that ... inside-scoop stories from the artsiest people I know. You'll hear first-hand from these talented, successful, full-time artists (who also happen to be regular people with hilarious stories) BEFORE they’re in the Art History books. - Danielle (aka The Jealous Curator)

Mean girls, "Mystery Twins", and so much perfect found paper I can hardly stand it! Vancouver based artist/illustrator Ryan Heshka and I also covered important topics like underage drinking in barns on the Canadian Prairies.

"Drawings are like wine - they need time to develop." Lovely words from a very talented, smart, poetic, funny artist who I might just have a major girl crush on. Berlin-based artist/illustrator Tina Berning is on the podcast, and I'm pinching myself.

Reimagining natural history, dealing with lulls, and making art with an insane amount of candy-colored resin. Melbourne-based sculptor Kate Rohde is my guest today.

Hilarious things painted on wood in a folksy, yet modern way. Melbourne artist Sandra Eterovic studied Art History, then designed rude underpants, and finally made the scary jump to full-time artist ... her inner critic had an opinion about that.
